Watches have long become an integral part of storytelling culture.
Many iconic models gained their status through screen appearances, and regardless of age, most enthusiasts can trace their interest back to the moment they saw a watch on a character's wrist. However, by 2026, the situation changed: the video game industry had long surpassed cinema, and Hamilton, known for its iconic watches in movies, is now actively focusing on the gaming sphere.
Following a successful collaboration with the popular first-person shooter series Call of Duty late last year, Hamilton announced the release of a new pair of watches inspired by the video game Resident Evil Requiem - the long-awaited part of the renowned franchise that combines unique, captivating gameplay with an atmospheric and suspenseful storyline.
Khaki Field Auto Chronograph Resident Evil Requiem LTD Edition
The first model - the black Khaki Field Auto Chronograph, can be seen on the wrist of the legendary character Leon S. Kennedy, a highly skilled U.S. government agent specializing in counter-bioterrorism. The watch features a massive 42 mm steel case, 14.5 mm thick, which immediately draws attention. The case is coated with a PVD finish, giving the watch a special operations look - a stealthy and military style. The details reflect the character and game's motifs: for example, the chronograph buttons are designed like bullet casings, and the large crown has a knurling reminiscent of a sniper scope.

The black theme continues on the dial, where various textures combine - a central sunburst effect disc is surrounded by matte black sub-dials. The hands are also black, but the dial and hands are equipped with contrasting lume, ensuring good readability - an important quality for pilot watches.

At the 9 o'clock position, a large emblematic winged symbol is engraved, often found in the Resident Evil universe and symbolizing "prayers for the fallen." This stylish addition emphasizes the military and stealthy character of the model, harmonizing with the game's aesthetics.

Under the sapphire transparent case back lies the automatic Hamilton H-21 caliber, based on the ETA/Valjoux 7750. A reliable movement with a 60-hour power reserve, in this version complemented by a date and day window. Despite the dial's richness, the watch maintains functionality and aligns with the concept of a "universal" tool. The model comes with a black synthetic strap with an H-pin buckle.

American Classic Pan Europ Resident Evil Requiem LTD Edition

The second model of the collection appears in the game on the wrist of FBI analyst Grace Ashcroft - a new character in the Resident Evil series and the daughter of Alice Ashcroft, a heroine from the early 2000s games. The watch is also covered with black PVD, and at first glance resembles a reissue from the Black & Gold 2022 collection, but there are important differences. The crown is two-toned, and the text on the rotating bezel is now gold instead of gray. Additionally, a gold motif appears on the sapphire transparent case back.

Like the chronograph, the Pan Europ is not a small watch: the case diameter is 42 mm, thickness - 11.5 mm. The 1970s-style "tonneau" case shape gives the model extra solidity. Water resistance is only 50 meters, which is less than the chronograph's 100 meters, despite the latter having additional water entry points at the buttons. This is something to consider, as the model is not positioned as an instrumental watch for extreme conditions.

The dial of this limited edition also differs from other models. It is matte black, with a central disc featuring linear brushing instead of a sunburst effect. There is significantly less text on the dial - Hamilton has omitted the "Pan Europ" and "Automatic" inscriptions, making the design cleaner and more austere. Volume is given by applied hour markers on a contrasting gold ring.

Inside is the automatic Hamilton H-30 caliber, based on the ETA C07.621 from the Powermatic 80 family. The movement boasts an impressive 80-hour power reserve, a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour, and includes a day and date function - a rarity for Powermatic 80. Completing the look is a black leather strap embossed with a crocodile pattern, a gold central stripe, and a deployant clasp ensuring secure fastening even in extreme conditions.
