With the recent launch of eBay's Authenticity Guarantee, every watch priced over $2,000 undergoes authenticity verification, allowing you to confidently purchase from a wide range of watches on offer. Once you buy a watch covered by the Authenticity Guarantee, it is sent to eBay's partner - a third-party authentication specialist. The authenticator will conduct a multi-point inspection of the item, repackage it in new eBay premium packaging, and ship it to you via insured and expedited delivery. Along with the watch, you will receive an authenticity report confirming the item's authenticity, which can also be used to enhance its resale value. The costs for all this are also covered by eBay.

We thought it would be a fun activity to build a virtual collection using watches eligible for eBay's program. The world is opening up, and you might need to update your wardrobe to look good in public! The selected watches will allow you to create a collection that looks stylish in any situation, whether you're starting anew or need one or two pieces to complement your existing wardrobe.
Knowing that our audience includes avid watch collectors, we have chosen five watches that a true watch enthusiast would buy. Watch enthusiasts are often drawn to watch models or even entire brands that are less commonly found in stores or seen in the wild. Depending on where you live, you might have to travel to find an official dealer of one of these brands (another way eBay can help). These watches often have unique case designs, styles, and possibly in-house movements. They might not catch the eye of a casual observer but will certainly attract another collector's attention. We suggest five such watches categorized as Office, Dress, Travel, Beater, and GADA (Go Anywhere, Do Anything).

Office Watch: Nomos Club Sport Neomatik 42mm
As many of us return to physical offices after a long period of working from home, we may feel out of place dressing up in the morning. Sorry, friends, but your old sweatpants are not the best choice when you're sitting in an evaluation. To tie your new outfit together, why not choose a watch that helps you feel confident in your first in-person meeting in a while? The Nomos Club series is a versatile watch that will suit many office environments. They can be worn with business attire when meeting clients but can also cover you on casual Fridays. The watches in this series come in various colors and sizes depending on your workplace dress code, but the Sport Neomatik 42mm model is a great option. The black dial will pair with any outfit. The watch features a date indicator to help keep track of your schedule and even comes with a beautiful and comfortable Nomos stainless steel bracelet. Another plus is the excellent readability, allowing you to check the time without the client noticing. The icing on the cake is the Nomos DUW 6101 movement with forward and backward date-setting functions, with the window extended to the very edge of the large dial.

Dress Watch: Zenith Elite Classic
If visiting the office now feels foreign, attending a formal event may seem even more so. The right watch can help boost your confidence, and the Zenith Elite Classic is a great option. Its 40.5mm diameter fits many wrists, and despite the transparent case back, the ultra-thin Zenith Elite 670 movement allows for a total watch thickness of 9.45mm, perfect for sliding under any cuff. The Classic model features a beautiful sunray dial, which is even easier to admire thanks to the anti-reflective coating on both sides of the sapphire glass. The blue leather strap complements the dial beautifully. The 670 movement, consisting of 144 components, has a 50-hour power reserve and operates at 28,800 vibrations per hour.

Travel Watch: Grand Seiko SBGE255
For business or leisure, you are likely planning to travel this summer. In such situations, it is helpful to have a watch that can track time in multiple time zones, and Grand Seiko makes some of our favorite watches that do just that. The SBGE255 model with a diameter of 40.5mm and a new colored ceramic bezel suits many people as a travel watch. We love the spring drive movement with its perfectly smooth second hand and independently adjustable hour hand. The beautiful dials of these models complete the look. Excellent lume and 200m water resistance combined with a clean appearance mean these watches are also versatile. Another plus you might not have thought of: If you find yourself in high-crime areas during your travels, the brand name will go unnoticed better than other tourist watches. This Grand Seiko Spring Drive option is available in several color variants.

Beater Watch: Doxa SUB 300
Some collectors may be uncomfortable using luxury watches as beaters, but with the right construction, many can withstand it. Scratches add character, and it's a great way to create memories with a watch you plan to keep for life. Of course, you also want the watch to look good on the wrist and be pleasant to wear. For this occasion, the Doxa Sub 300 is an excellent option. The sturdy stainless steel case and bezel, along with the sapphire glass, will withstand a beating. If your activity involves water, don't worry - the watch is water-resistant up to 300 meters. With a diameter of 42.5mm, the 300 model is smaller and has a sleeker look compared to the 300T model. Its boxed glass also gives it a more vintage look, and these watches are available in several interesting dial colors. The Doxa watch may be the only one on this list without an in-house movement, but a beater watch should have a "workhorse" under the hood, and its ETA 2824 is COSC Chronometer certified.

GADA Watch (Go Anywhere, Do Anything): Tudor North Flag
We always prefer to wear a watch perfectly suited for a specific situation, but it's important to have one "jack-of-all-trades" for those times when carrying multiple watches isn't feasible. If you need such a watch, the Tudor North Flag fills that gap. The robust stainless steel and ceramic construction and 100-meter water resistance will withstand outdoor adventures, while the integrated bracelet (or leather strap) and 40mm size allow you to dress the watch up if needed. Tudor is a brand loved by watch collectors, but the North Flag watch has been overshadowed by its more popular dive collections. Most people missed the boat, and only the most hardcore watch fans realized what they offered. Tudor's first-ever in-house movement, the MT5621, ensures chronometer precision plus 70 hours of power reserve (which is noted on the dial). Additionally, unlike most other Tudor models, the movement can be seen through the transparent case back. Tudor recently discontinued these watches, so it might be a good idea to grab them now before the market realizes what it missed the first time.
Complete Collection
We love the opportunity to confidently purchase unique watches, and we had a lot of fun assembling this virtual collection with eBay's Authenticity Guarantee. What do you think of our selection? Although we don't expect many people to buy five watches in one go, are you interested in adding any of them to your collection box? We'd love to hear from you in the comments.
