Even in the exotic and fantastic realm of Hublot's top-tier MP series, few watches can surpass the MP-09 in terms of mechanical extravagance. The complex skeletonized movement, bi-axis tourbillon escapement, and unique asymmetrical shape that seems to melt as it wraps around the wrist have always made the MP-09 a high-octane spectacle in watchmaking.
In its latest model, Hublot takes another step forward in the MP-09 series, using processed 3D Carbon material with woven layers of carbon fiber in four vibrant colors. Whether red, yellow, green, or blue, the new limited edition Hublot MP-09 Tourbillon Bi-Axis 5 Days Power Reserve 3D Carbon is a high-tech and impressive display of the brand's boldest and most dramatic design solutions.

Even without the complex asymmetrical shape or unique materials, the case dimensions of the Hublot MP-09 Tourbillon Bi-Axis 5 Days Power Reserve 3D Carbon series capture attention. At 49mm wide and 17.95mm thick, the angular, multi-layered design is unavoidably eye-catching. On the case side at 12 o'clock, the case echoes the signature Big Bang style: a multi-faceted angular sandwich construction, integrated lugs, prominent side ribs at 3 and 9 o'clock, and a beveled bezel secured by H-shaped screws.
At the 6 o'clock position, however, the design takes on a dramatic character. As if pulled by the immense gravity of a black hole, the bezel distorts and melts downward, narrowing to a thin strip and bending 90 degrees from the top of the case through two distinct curves. As a result, the sapphire crystal also follows these complex, almost Dali-esque lines, allowing a clear view of the bi-axis tourbillon from a variety of angles.

Over this otherworldly form, Hublot adds a newly developed colored 3D carbon material. Made of woven layers of carbon fiber and then processed into several multi-layered segments for final assembly, this lightweight matte material alternates graphite gray of bare carbon fiber with bright colors - green, royal blue, lemon yellow, or fiery red.
While the color mix appears as alternating cross patterns from the dial side, the changing cross-section of processed elements creates patterns from vertical stripes to solid color layers on various design facets. The result is undoubtedly striking, and the futuristic look of the images distinguishes it even from other high-tech colored case materials by Hublot. Despite the robust case material and solid sporty appearance, the Hublot MP-09 Tourbillon Bi-Axis 5 Days Power Reserve 3D Carbon has a minimal water resistance of 30 meters.

All four versions of the Hublot MP-09 Tourbillon Bi-Axis 5 Days Power Reserve 3D Carbon share the same skeletonized dial design carried over from previous MP-09 models. The most significant change from previous versions lies in color: each case variant carries corresponding shades of red, yellow, blue, or green to the dial design. Compared to many skeletonized dials from Hublot, the MP-09 dial format is relatively simple, with few intricate web bridges, and each complication receives considerable attention.
The main chronometer subdial at 1 o'clock offers a pleasing bulkiness: concentric skeletonized rings and exaggerated cross-style hour markers at 12, 3, 6, and 9 o'clock form the visual basis for the skeletonized sword hands and beveled indices.
The date indicator partially surrounds this subdial, with two concentric rings of skeletonized date windows and a colored backdrop (white in the blue-cased model due to the relatively low contrast of blue with black) highlighting the current day of the month. A toggle on the 9 o'clock side of the case advances the indication forward or backward by one day. At 9 o'clock, there's a sporty power reserve indicator styled like a fuel gauge, allowing tracking of the mechanism's 120-hour power reserve.

As with the case, the skeletonized dial design of the Hublot MP-09 Tourbillon Bi-Axis 5 Days Power Reserve 3D Carbon is designed to draw maximum viewer attention to the bi-axis tourbillon. This gyroscopic element, occupying almost half of the skeletonized dial space, rotates around one axis every 30 seconds and completes a revolution around the second axis every 60 seconds. The tourbillon cage itself is simple and high-tech, with ultra-modern titanium elements with black DLC coating.

As in previous MP-09 models, the MP-09 Tourbillon Bi-Axis 5 Days Power Reserve 3D Carbon line uses Hublot's proprietary HUB9009.H1.RA manual-winding mechanism with a tourbillon. In typical Hublot fashion, the bridges and plates of the mechanism are skillfully skeletonized, but the finish itself is clean and ultra-modern.
Most surfaces are either vertically satin-finished or matte blasted with PVD coating, with polished chamfers at the edge of the bridges for a flash effect in initial photos. The HUB9009.H1.RA model has a power reserve of 120 hours at a frequency of 21,600 beats per hour. Hublot equips each of the four models with a bright sculpted integrated rubber strap in yellow, red, green, or blue to match the case.

Defiantly overloaded with technical and horological spectacle, the limited edition Hublot MP-09 Tourbillon Bi-Axis 5 Days Power Reserve 3D Carbon offers one of the boldest and brightest designs in the brand's extensive arsenal. Only eight pieces of each color option will be produced, totaling 32 units.
The Hublot MP-09 Tourbillon Bi-Axis 5 Days Power Reserve 3D Carbon watches are now available for purchase through official dealers, each model priced at 200,000 USD. For more detailed information, visit the brand's website.
