Five new releases, including Panerai's first forged titanium watch, inspired by timepieces for Italian combat divers.

At the Geneva watch fair Watches & Wonders, Panerai introduced a series of new models from the Luminor collection. These watches draw inspiration from the famous Panerai Ref. 6152/1 model - a watch created for the Marina Militare combat divers (Italian Navy) and produced in the 1960s.

The watches feature polished stainless steel cases, except for the matte protective bridge over the crown. Reduced from the original 47 mm, the new models are now a more comfortable and contemporary 44 mm. The square lugs are equipped with screws for attaching spring bars. The matte case back includes a sapphire glass insert. Water resistance is 300 meters.

Panerai Luminor PAM01731 with tobacco dial

The sapphire crystal on the dial visually recreates vintage plexiglass. The PAM01731 model has a matte tobacco-colored dial with Panerai's characteristic sandwich construction. The fine-grain texture of the dial enhances the vintage style of the watch.

Panerai Luminor Destro PAM01732 with blue dial

The PAM01732 Destro model features a blue dial with a non-standard crown position on the left side of the case. This is a nod to Panerai's history. In the 1960s, combat divers wore watches on the right wrist, using their left hand for a depth gauge or compass. Moving the crown to the left side of the case allowed them to set the time more easily before a mission without removing the watch.

Movement of Panerai Luminor models

The models are powered by the in-house caliber P.6000. This hand-wound movement, operating at a balance frequency of 3 Hz and with a single barrel, provides a 3-day power reserve. Like the original 1960s model, the movement is limited to hour and minute indications.

Panerai Luminor with calf leather strap

Both models come with brown calf leather straps that support the vintage style of the watches. The new releases also include rubber straps. The watches will be available for purchase in April. The estimated cost of the models is $9,200.

Panerai Luminor 8 Giorni PAM01733

This new release features a Brunito artificially aged steel case, which Panerai used for the first time in 2023. The case also measures 44 mm in diameter. Inside is the P.5000 caliber, equipped with a hand-wound mechanism and an 8-day power reserve. The estimated price of the watch is $11,300.

Panerai Luminor PAM01735 and PAM01629 Forged Titanium

The Luminor PAM01735 model returns to the design principles that defined the look of the first Luminor watches. The watch is presented in a 47-mm polished steel case and is complemented by an ivory-colored dial. The model is powered by the Panerai P.3000 caliber with a 3-day power reserve. The case is water-resistant to 100 meters. The estimated price of the watch is $12,400.

The PAM01629 Forged Titanium model is Panerai's first watch with a forged titanium case. The wave pattern on the case makes this material resemble forged carbon, with each of the 100 pieces in this series being unique. It is powered by the P.3000 caliber. The watch is offered with a calf leather strap (plus a rubber strap included). The estimated price of the model is $23,600.
