Five limited edition novelties from 'The Perpetual Timekeeper' exhibition, running until April 26 as part of Milan Design Week.
During Milan Design Week, Jaeger-LeCoultre presented the exhibition 'The Perpetual Timekeeper'. Visitors to the exhibition, held from April 21 to 26 at Villa Mozart, can see an original collection of watches. It includes 53 archival Jaeger-LeCoultre models, 32 of which are various Atmos clocks, representing nearly 90 years of the collection's history. This selection also includes 5 new brand releases, including 3 new models created in partnership with Australian designer Marc Newson.
Atmos Designer 568 by Marc Newson

A new version of the model released 10 years ago. The clock case is made of Baccarat crystal. It has a solid construction with a single removable part providing access to the mechanism. Besides indicating hours and minutes, the model's mechanism supports several complex functions, including sunrise and sunset times, an equation of time, and an ultra-precise moon phase indicator that accumulates a daily error over 4087 years of operation.

The model is presented in 3 versions, each with the equation of time calibrated for a specific latitude (30°, 40°, or 50°). Each version is limited to 50 pieces per year.

The distinctive feature of the clock is its glass case, inlaid with 539 cabochon-cut sapphires. The stones, weighing a total of 32 carats, form a map of the night sky visible over the Northern Hemisphere. The model's mechanism supports the following functions: tellurium, month indicator, seasons, zodiac calendar, and a moon phase indicator that accumulates a daily error over 5770 years of operation.

The clock dial consists of two parts. The upper part displays hours, minutes, and seasons. The lower part, in a window at the 6 o'clock position, shows the current month. In the center, on a disc of blue sapphire, you can see the Sun (pink gold), around which zodiac signs are engraved. The model's design also includes meteorite fragments. The release is limited to 3 pieces.

Memovox Travel Clock by Marc Newson

Interior clock with alarm function. The model is presented in a titanium case (69 x 18 mm) equipped with a folding stand. Thanks to two winding barrels, the model's mechanism provides a 12-day power reserve. The dial design revolves around indicating the power reserve. Around the dial's perimeter, opposite the hour markers, there are slots. When the power reserve is at its maximum, they are all orange, and as the energy depletes, they turn blue.

A peripheral winding crown with a built-in switch is hidden under the bezel, allowing you to select one of three functions: winding, time setting, or alarm. The clock comes with a calf leather case designed to store 3 wristwatches, a loupe, strap removal tools, and a stand. The model is limited to 100 pieces per year.

Atmos Enamel Colibris and Atmos Wood Marqueterie

Two new models in the style of regulator clocks with an emphasis on different decorative techniques. The Atmos Enamel Colibris model features enamel painting on the clock case, combining two techniques: Grand Feu and dry enamel. The model's mechanism supports 24-hour indication, month indication, and moon phase indication. The deviation of the moon phase accumulates a one-day error over 3861 years of operation. The release is limited to 3 pieces.

In the Atmos Wood Marqueterie model, the mechanism supports the same set of functions. The glass case of the clock is decorated with wooden marquetry using veneer (predominantly walnut). In the mosaic, fragments are colored in blue and blue hues, utilizing 52 lamellae with a thickness of no more than 0.6 mm, thinner than a rose petal. The release is limited to 5 pieces.
The exhibition 'The Perpetual Timekeeper' is free and open to everyone, so if you're in Milan during these days, be sure to visit.
