Manual-winding three-hand watch with an ultra-lightweight case.

Richard Mille has reintroduced the RM 55-01 model, a three-hand watch with a minimalist design and an ultra-lightweight case. Previously, these watches were released under the RM 055 label and were part of a series endorsed by the brand's ambassador, golfer Bubba Watson.

The model operates with the RMUL4 caliber, built on a titanium baseplate treated with Titalyt. This movement features two barrels connected in series, providing a 55-hour power reserve at a 4 Hz balance frequency.

The watch is available in three versions. The case, measuring 37.95 x 47.33 x 10.75 mm, is made from TPT carbon, as well as white and grey TPT quartz. TPT stands for 'Thin Ply Technology', a process where layers of material only 30 microns thick are arranged at 45-degree angles, impregnated with bonding material, and then fused under pressure for added strength.

A unique feature of the model is that the case supports the movement without a case ring. Instead, a rubber frame secured by titanium screws is used. The case is water-resistant to 50 meters. Although the model's price is not officially listed, some sources suggest it is around CHF 155,000.
