Recently, Alpina partnered with Sent Into Space to launch the AlpinerX smartwatch into space, where it endured extreme temperatures and pressure for three hours before returning to Earth. To commemorate this occasion and achievement, Alpina is releasing a limited edition of the AlpinerX Smartwatch - the Space Edition. Crafted in a dark blue case with a matte finish, the AlpinerX Space Edition is one of the most attractive active smartwatches on the market, limited to 299 pieces.
Alpina AlpinerX is an outdoor smartwatch featuring altimeter, barometer, compass, connected GPS, and UV indicator/temperature functions that send data to the user's phone. This is in addition to the standard set of smartwatch features such as activity tracking, sleep monitoring, notifications, and a timer function.

What sets the Alpina AlpinerX Space Edition apart from standard models is the dark blue fiberglass and steel case, paired with a matching dark blue dial and blue digital screen and hands. The case back is engraved with a special moon in the triangular Alpina logo. Otherwise, everything remains the same, with a case width of 45mm and a thickness of 14.45mm. Naturally, it is water-resistant up to 100 meters and continues to function at an altitude of 33,793 meters.

Inside the AlpinerX Space Edition is the MMT-283-1 Horological Smartwatch movement, which allows all functions to be controlled via the crown. The battery life also exceeds two years. The AlpinerX Space Edition comes with a dark blue leather strap that complements the case and dial.

Again, the Alpina AlpinerX Space Edition is limited to 299 pieces and proudly demonstrates the product's durability. Although the specific AlpinerX Space that went to space is now housed in the Alpina Museum in Plan-les-Ouates, Geneva, Switzerland, some units are still available.
The price is the same as the standard AlpinerX, at USD 995.
