IWC presented a new series of Le Petit Prince Pilot’s Chronograph models at the Watches and Wonders 2026 exhibition.
In addition to the Mark XX models in steel and gold, 36 mm Pilot’s watches, and Portofino Day & Night, the brand released new Le Petit Prince Pilot’s chronographs in steel and white ceramic cases. The use of colored ceramics by IWC has already gained popularity among collectors, especially the Mark XX Pilot’s models in white ceramic and the beige Mojave Desert chronograph. Similar to the new Mark XX model in 18-carat gold, this is the first time ceramic is used in a more accessible Le Petit Prince model - a white ceramic chronograph of a new size.
Main Models of IWC Pilot’s Chronograph Le Petit Prince
The steel models are available in two sizes - 41 mm and 43 mm, like other steel IWC Pilot’s chronographs. The 41 mm model features a lug width of 20 mm and a case thickness of 14.5 mm, while the 43 mm version has a lug width of 21 mm and a case thickness of 14.8 mm. The cases are water-resistant up to 100 meters and equipped with screw-in crowns and pushers.
The dial is deep blue with a sunburst effect, featuring printed indices and gold-plated hands with Super-LumiNova coating for the hour, minute, and chronograph hands. The chronograph function includes minute, hour, and second displays. At the "three o'clock" position are the day and date indicators. Both models have a sapphire case back with an image of the Little Prince, highlighting the collaborative nature of the collection, and come with a blue rubber strap with the IWC Eas-XChange quick-change system and steel buckles.
New: White Ceramic Pilot’s Watch Chronograph 41 Le Petit Prince
The main event is the new Pilot’s Watch Chronograph 41 Le Petit Prince in white ceramic. Previously, the collection had only one ceramic Le Petit Prince - a limited edition of 100 pieces in a blue ceramic case. It is also important to note that this is the first white ceramic Pilot’s chronograph with a 41 mm diameter. Technical specifications include a lug width of 20 mm, a case thickness of 15.5 mm, and water resistance of 100 meters with a screw-in crown. The model comes with a white rubber strap with the Eas-XChange system and a titanium pin buckle. The crown, pushers, and case back with the Little Prince image are made of titanium.
Movements and Technical Features
The steel models are equipped with the IWC caliber 69385, while the white ceramic model has the caliber 69380. Both calibers are automatic chronographs with a column wheel, 33 jewels, a power reserve of 46 hours, and a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour. The main difference is that the caliber 69385 is used in chronographs with a transparent case back, while the 69380 is used in models with an anti-magnetic soft-iron inner case, requiring a solid case back.
Conclusions on the New Le Petit Prince Chronographs
The quotes around the case diameter of the white ceramic model relate to the fact that the actual case size is 41.9 mm, which essentially brings it closer to 42 mm. Given the positive reception of the Lake Tahoe chronograph in 2022 and the white ceramic Pilot’s Watch without a chronograph released in 2025, there is reason to expect the appearance of a model with a black dial and a white ceramic case with a diameter of 41.9 mm in the near future.
There is also hope for the release of a fully luminescent version, although no such announcements have been made yet. Previous impressions of smaller ceramic chronographs were positive - the watches feel quite large but not excessively so. Fully white watches look fresh and interesting, and the collaboration with the heirs of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry makes the choice of a 41 mm white ceramic case especially fitting. As the Pilot’s line expands in colored ceramics, these models retain the recognizable features of classic design while appearing less serious, adding to their appeal.
Prices and Availability of IWC Pilot’s Chronograph Le Petit Prince
The new IWC Pilot’s Chronograph Le Petit Prince models were presented at Watches and Wonders 2026, held on April 14, 2026. Prices for all three models have not been announced yet.
