The romantic name Angel Cut hides the name of Jacob Arabo's wife, and the number of facets reflects the New York jeweler's long marriage.
In honor of its 40th anniversary, Jacob & Co. introduced the Angel Cut - a new patented diamond cut. The development of the new cut took 2 years. The name Angel Cut refers to the name of Jacob Arabo's wife, Angela, and the 37 facets of the stone in this cut symbolize their 37-year marriage.
The Angel Cut stone has maximum light return. By using a rhomboid table and a step-cut rectangular outline, the Angel Cut provides controlled volumetric brilliance with reduced absorption, creating continuous illumination across the entire diamond surface.
The first watch featuring stones of the new cut is the Billionaire Double Tourbillon Angel Cut model. The novelty features a white gold case measuring 54 x 41 mm. It is adorned with 98 diamonds weighing a total of 51.13 carats.
As for the dial, it is decorated with 88 Angel Cut diamonds and 80 baguette-cut diamonds framing the 2 tourbillons. In total, the watch decoration involves almost 300 white diamonds weighing about 79 carats.
The model is powered by the JCAM50 caliber. This is a manually wound movement assembled from 460 components and equipped with two flying tourbillons symmetrically located at the 12 and 6 o'clock positions. The power reserve of the mechanism is enough for 72 hours of operation. It is suggested to wear this model on a blue alligator leather strap with a white gold folding clasp.
The Billionaire Double Tourbillon Angel Cut watch is limited to a series of 18 pieces worldwide.
