A small micromechanical masterpiece with a dual-axis tourbillon and intricate engraving depicting Pegasus soaring through clouds.

The Swiss watch brand Jaeger-LeCoultre has paid an unusual tribute to the roots of the Reverso collection. The company has released a new model from the Hybris Artistica line, with a case adorned with an engraving of Pegasus in clouds - the winged horse from Greek mythology, symbolizing freedom, creative potential, and self-overcoming.

The case, measuring 51.1 x 31 x 12.41 mm, is made of pink gold. The watch is limited to 5 pieces, and the complex engraving of each requires more than 180 hours of work.

The cloud motif, in which Pegasus floats, is repeated in the dial design on the front side of the watch. Each groove in the dial's pattern is manually filled with several layers of blue lacquer. The upper part of the dial features a small dial with hour and minute hands, while the lower part is occupied by a visible dual-sided gyro-tourbillon.

The gyro-tourbillon is a dual-axis tourbillon, consisting of 123 parts. The inner tourbillon carriage is made of titanium, while the outer one is mounted on ceramic ball bearings.

The carriages rotate perpendicularly to each other at different speeds: the inner at a rate of one rotation every 16 seconds, the outer at one rotation per minute. A small second hand is mounted on the outer carriage. In the center of the mechanism, the balance spring can be seen expanding and contracting like a beating heart.

On the reverse side of the dial, there is an indication of the second time zone with a 24-hour display. The model is powered by the Jaeger-LeCoultre Calibre 179, equipped with manual winding and a 40-hour power reserve.

The watch is offered on a blue alligator leather strap. The strap features a folding clasp (made of 46 parts) with a micro-adjustment system using a double wheel, allowing for wrist fitting precision up to 0.5 mm.
