Today, watch brand REISER Watches presents its first collection - the Alpen Date series. The design process takes place in the Netherlands, as do the business operations. Then the watches are hand-assembled by watchmakers in Pforzheim, Germany. Dubbed the "Golden City," Pforzheim is an important historical center of watchmaking in Germany and the birthplace of many brands. With its first release, REISER immediately enters the category of sports watches with an integrated bracelet. The Alpen Date model, with a width of 41 mm and a thickness of 11.45 mm, is ideally sized for many users. The watch sits well on the wrist, yet is thin enough to slip under shirt cuffs and will fit comfortably on wrists of various sizes.
An attractive blend of matte surfaces and polished bevels makes this watch highly versatile. You can wear it to the office during the day for meetings, then leave work and wear it to the gym. The Alpen dial is also special. It is divided into twelve sections corresponding to the hour markers, each featuring an embossed guilloche texture oriented at different angles. A sharply inclined matte ring with minute and hour markings emphasizes the depth of the dial. The applied hour markers have polished edges and are filled with Super-LumiNova BGW9 luminescent material. The dial is protected by a unique eight-sided flat sapphire crystal with AR coating. The crystal is set inside a vertical matte bezel, which proudly showcases the case with sharp facets and polished sides. The case features a mix of polished and matte surfaces throughout its complex profile, making the watch as pleasing to the eye in different lighting as the dial.
The screw-down case back features a window to the automatic NH35A movement powering the Alpen Date watch. This mechanical movement, created by Seiko, is known for its reliability and should provide uninterrupted operation for years. It operates at a frequency of 21,600 vph (6 beats per second) and provides approximately 41 hours of power reserve. Reiser uses a custom pink gold rotor engraved with its name and decorated with Geneva stripes. The movement is easily wound and adjusted using the 5 mm Alpen crown.
The unique textured dial of the Alpen series is available in three dial colors (black, blue, and green). Reiser offers a case in matte and polished stainless steel or with a pink gold tone finish. The black/stainless steel version will be the most versatile combination, while other dial colors offer options for buyers looking for something brighter. Buyers looking for a more upscale look will be drawn to the pink gold case.
Despite the integrated appearance of the Alpen, several strap options are available, further increasing the versatility of these watches. The standard configuration includes a vegetable-tanned Italian leather strap. The strap features a metal end link that fills the case lug gap, perfectly matching the watch. It tapers from 25 mm at the lugs to 18 mm at the fold-over butterfly clasp with an engraved logo. In stainless steel case models, the strap perfectly matches the dial color. Pink gold models come with an attractive dark brown leather strap.
For a small additional price, an available integrated stainless steel bracelet takes the watch to a new level. The links are matte, and the bevels are polished to a mirror finish, highlighting the case finish. The hidden butterfly clasp gives it a neat look when attached to the wrist.
