Formex Swiss Made Watches is a family brand behind models like Reef, Element, and Pilot. They are known for skillfully combining comfort, style, and modern technology - and they have done it again with the recently released Essence FortyThree Automatic Chronometer.

More Than Just an Update

Formex Essence FortyThree with updated dial design

The Essence line from Formex, first introduced in 2018, is a bright example of the brand's quality. While the watch community expected Formex to release an updated Essence model with a refreshed dial, this release is much more than just an update.

The new Essence FortyThree has a completely new look and feel. New dial options and other updates have been introduced.

What's New?

CNC-machined dial details of Formex Essence FortyThree

The Essence FortyThree features a dial like no other seen from Formex. Each line on the dial is CNC-machined separately at the base, ensuring precise angles. The dial also features updated Formex branding and an applied logo. With charming attention to detail, the date wheel now matches the dial color.

If you liked the green dial and matching green strap of the Essence ThirtyNine model, you'll be pleased to know they are available for the Essence FortyThree as well. If you prefer, a new white dial is also available. The hands and applied indices are in polished black, contrasting with the matte surface to enhance contrast and ensure the best readability.

Formex Essence FortyThree clasp and strap details

Another feature of this watch is that the double-action butterfly clasp has been replaced with a single-action clasp. It is made from ultra-lightweight proprietary carbon fiber composite material and features a steel clasp with a patented 7mm gradual fine adjustment system, which can be activated while wearing the watch. The clasp removes excess strap length, so you won't need keepers. The overall look of the watch has become more refined compared to what was before.

Moreover, the model retains features that watch lovers appreciated in previous versions of the Formex Essence, such as the beautifully crafted movement and high-quality, non-magnetic, corrosion-resistant Glucydur balance wheel.

Purchasing the Formex Essence FortyThree

This watch can be purchased for just $1,280.00. It's an excellent choice if you're looking for something comfortable and practical, yet not devoid of luxury details. If you need a more compact version, you should also consider the Essence ThirtyNine model. Both models are already available in the Formex online store. You can pre-order watches with a white dial, while other colors are already in stock.
