A limited edition exploring the jewelry direction in the futuristic universe of Urwerk.

Urwerk has expanded its lineup with a striking new addition. If you're used to thinking of Urwerk as a tyrannosaurus on the wrist, with the UR-101 Diamond Sky Edition, you'll be surprised at how seamlessly diamonds fit into the brand's futuristic aesthetic.

The watch retains the architecture of the modern UR-101 model, which marked the beginning of Urwerk's history in 1997. With a diameter of 41 mm, it has a relatively thin profile of 9.33 mm. While the original model's crown was located at the "3 o'clock" position, here it is shifted to "12 o'clock". The case is made of steel and features short lugs.

The dial side is adorned with a geometric grid set with 214 diamonds totaling 1.63 carats. As emphasized by Urwerk, the stones are sourced responsibly, forming a pattern reminiscent of a constellation. The case is water-resistant to 30 meters.

The time is read in an intuitively understandable way. Under the curved sapphire crystal at the top part of the dial, a satellite with the current hour number glides along the minute scale, which is rotated 180 degrees. The smooth glide occurs from left to right. As the current hour ends, a satellite with the next number appears. The illumination on the numbers and markers (Super-LumiNova coating) ensures ease of reading.

The model is powered by the automatic caliber UR-1.01V. It is based on the Vaucher mechanism and adapted by Urwerk to work with the "wandering hour" module. Materials used in the mechanism's production include brass, copper, and ARCAP (a corrosion-resistant copper-nickel-zinc alloy). Finishing includes sandblasting, polishing, and satin finishing.

The watch is offered on a white textured rubber strap with a black calfskin lining. The release is limited to 25 pieces.

The approximate price of the model (excluding taxes) is CHF 85,000.
