In the middle of last year, Venezianico made a bold step into the future by presenting the Redentore Utopia model with its own mechanism and stylish dial. Now the brand has released two new versions of the Redentore Utopia II with an updated caliber and impressive dials, making these watches some of the most exciting new releases for enthusiasts.
History of Venezianico Redentore Utopia II
One of the most notable new releases from Venezianico last year was the Redentore Utopia model. The brand's journey over recent years is impressive - improvements have touched design, production quality, and mechanisms. Redentore Utopia became the first Venezianico model with a fully developed in Italy own mechanism. Its detailed handcrafted dial was rightfully called "an important step forward."
Now the story continues with the release of two new Redentore Utopia II models. However, the novelties are not just new dial colors. Venezianico has introduced two new exquisite dials with guilloché and improved finish of its own caliber. This elevates the novelties above ordinary color variations, deserving special recognition.
Key Technical Specifications of the New Models
Before diving into the details, let's look at the key parameters. Both models retain the case from the first Redentore Utopia:

Each case houses a dial created in collaboration with Atelier Renzetti - a workshop specializing in traditional guilloché. Each dial is engraved by hand on vintage rose engine lathes from the 19th century without the use of electricity.
- Alpha Model - a dial with gold electroplating inspired by the reflections of Venetian facades and mosaics. This color scheme emphasizes the decorative and artistic heritage of Venice. The watch comes with a black calf leather strap.
- Beta Model - a dial with deep graphite electroplating inspired by the structural materials of Venice: wrought iron, railings, and mooring posts. The dark gray shade symbolizes the materials supporting the city above the water. The watch comes with a gray Saffiano leather strap with hand finishing.
Thanks to the different dial and strap colors, each model has a unique appearance.
Unique Handcrafted Marea Dial Motif
Both dials are adorned with a handcrafted Marea motif reflecting the waves of the Venetian lagoon and their constant movement and transformation. Each line is crafted by hand with a slow and controlled rhythm, emphasizing craftsmanship and precision. The only additional element on the dials is the signature applied cross-shaped logo.
Around the dial is a matte ring with hour markers. Above the dial rise sharp dagger-shaped hour and minute hands, as well as a slender second hand, perfectly complementing the modern case and classic dial. Visually, the watches create an impressive duo that immediately draws attention.
Caliber V5001: Development and Improvements
But it's not just the dials that make these watches special. On the reverse side, the signature Venezianico V5001 mechanism is visible - the natural development of the V5000 caliber introduced last year. The finish level of the new mechanism is higher, setting a new standard for the brand.
Like the V5000, the V5001 caliber is produced for Venezianico by OISA and was developed by OISA's technical director Fausto Berizzi and Venezianico's head of product development Andrea Menegazzo. The mechanism retained the architecture and technical characteristics of the previous model:

Thanks to the 24-carat gold electroplating, the bridges and main plate look warm and luxurious. The finish includes double spiral patterns on the wheels, radial Côtes de Genève stripes, and fine perlage.
Special attention is paid to the double balance bridge with étirage finish and the variable inertia balance made of copper-beryllium alloy. Shock protection is implemented with the Kif Elastor system. All details, even those unseen, are finished with high precision, highlighting the overall quality of the V5001 caliber.
Wearing Experience of Venezianico Redentore Utopia II
Immediately after putting on one of the new Redentore Utopia II models, you feel something special on your wrist. Starting with the Alpha variant, I couldn't take my eyes off the bright dial, admiring the craftsmanship. Visually, the Alpha literally "pops" on the wrist, bringing a smile. The Beta version with a dark gray dial is more restrained, serious, and elegant.
Thanks to this, the Beta is suitable for everyday wear with various outfits. However, the golden Alpha dial truly attracts attention. Additionally, the Redentore Utopia II models are very comfortable on the wrist. A diameter of 38 mm is perfect for modern classic watches, and the case proportions fit my wrist excellently. When removing the watch for winding or setting the time, you feel the high reliability and quality of the mechanism - it clearly surpasses the standard Redentore models.
Final Assessment of the New Venezianico Redentore Utopia II Models
Overall, Venezianico demonstrates a new level of craftsmanship and quality, continuously raising the brand's standards. Fans appreciate these changes. At a price of €4500, the Alpha and Beta models were available for pre-order for 72 hours from January 28. The first 100 pieces of both models will go on sale at the end of February 2026, with the rest in May 2026. Unfortunately, at the moment all the watches are sold out.
However, given the brand's development dynamics, new Redentore Utopia models can be expected soon. If the first three versions are indicative of future novelties, it will be interesting to watch the further steps of the Venetian brand.
