Recently, Zodiac and RedBar released a special edition of the Super Sea Wolf Pro-Diver.
This model, consisting of 200 pieces, features a fully luminescent dial, reminiscent of Zodiac's Point series from the 1990s. These watches were instantly recognizable by the red dot on the dial between the '4' and '5 o'clock' marks. Following the RedBar edition of the Super Sea Wolf Pro-Diver, Zodiac is releasing a regular model with a full lume dial. Let's look at both models and learn more about the return of the Super Sea Wolf Pro-Diver.
Night divers are a unique breed of dive watches. I am very fond of watches with fully luminescent dials because they are both interesting and functional. The best examples are the classic TAG Heuer Night Divers from the 1980s, but there were other dive watches with luminous dials in that era. In creating the new Super Sea Wolf Pro-Divers, Zodiac was inspired by the night divers of the 1980s with phosphorescent dials. These two watches mark a stylish return of the Pro-Diver model to the brand's lineup.
The History of the Super Sea Wolf Pro-Diver
Zodiac is renowned for its rich history of creating dive watches. The Super Sea Wolf Pro-Diver is the brand's most serious offering in the current collection. It was developed to meet international standards for professional dive watches. After several stages of development and extensive rigorous testing, the Pro-Diver received ISO 6425 certification and proudly bears the 'Diver's' marking on the dial.

The standard version of the Pro-Diver has a traditional aesthetic that reminds me of the great professional divers of the 1970s. The dial and bezel are black, with large luminous markers. The hour and second hands are white, while the minute hand is orange, reminiscent of the great divers of the 70s. The hands are also coated with a luminescent compound, ensuring their readability underwater. These are vintage-style watches, familiar in shapes and colors, yet very current.

Super Sea Wolf Pro-Diver with a Luminescent Dial
Zodiac has increased the fun factor by releasing a new model of the Super Sea Wolf Pro-Diver. But this is not without sense. After all, we are still talking about professional dive watches. However, it must be noted that two years ago, the brand created a colorful titanium version of the Pro-Diver, which was as functional as it was stylish. The newest version features a 42mm stainless steel case with a thickness of 13mm and a length of 49.8mm. It also has a convenient 20mm lug width and provides a diving depth of 300m. The brand equipped the new Pro-Diver with a luminous pistachio green dial paired with a black bezel.

The dial is fully coated with Super-LumiNova, which glows blue in the dark. For contrast, white Super-LumiNova on the hour markers, hands, and markings on the ceramic bezel insert glows green in the dark. The hands and indices are highlighted in black to make the dial contrast in daylight and darkness. As a result, the overall design seems very balanced thanks to the black, white, and green color scheme. An additional hint of color is the red triangle holding the luminescent marker on the bezel. This color is also present on the dial in the form of red text '300M / 1000FT'.

New Chronometer Caliber STP 1-21 with COSC Certification
Overall, I really like the design. It offers a good balance between the seriousness you expect from professional dive watches and the colorful execution we know from Zodiac. Inside the case, the brand updated the movement to the chronometer caliber STP 1-21, certified by COSC. This same movement is used in the latest versions of the regular Super Sea Wolf models. As is known, STP and Zodiac are part of the Fossil Group. As a result of the update, the watches received the latest generation STP movement.

The new movement replaced the Sellita SW200-1 and STP3-13, which the brand previously used for the Pro-Diver model. Like the Sellita SW200-1, the automatic STP 1-21 is derived from the ETA 2824-2. It operates at a frequency of 28,800 per hour, has 26 jewels, and a 40-hour power reserve. This revamped version uses a silicon hairspring, providing greater resistance to magnetic interference. Thanks to COSC certification, its accuracy is -4/+6 seconds per day.

Final Thoughts on the New Zodiac Super Sea Wolf Pro-Diver
The watch comes with a seven-row stainless steel bracelet that complements the overall design. The bracelet features a spring-loaded butterfly clasp with a button and a quick-release system. From our own experience, we know that Zodiac has significantly improved the quality of its products in recent years. The quality of case and bracelet manufacturing is really good, especially considering the prices the brand asks for its watches. The latest model of the Super Sea Wolf Pro-Diver is now available for $2,295, which is $100 more than the model with the black dial. For this money, you get a full lume dial and a refreshing color scheme. That's why I would gladly take these new Zodiac watches for a test.

Limited Edition RedBar
As mentioned earlier, just over a week ago, Zodiac also announced a special limited edition of these watches, consisting of 200 pieces. This special version of the same watch is the result of collaboration with the RedBar Group, a well-known global community of watch collectors with a shared passion for watchmaking. Technically, the watch is no different from the regular version, but there are some subtle design differences.

This limited version features the same pistachio green luminous dial but with a red dot between the '4' and '5 o'clock' marks. The design was inspired by the Point series that Zodiac released in the 1990s. The red dot is also depicted on the case back, which is a nice addition to the watch's dial. In addition to the stainless steel bracelet, the limited edition comes with a black and red polyethylene Velcro strap.

Collaboration with Taste
This special RedBar version of the Pro-Diver is a subtle variation of the regular model's design. It not only connects with the brand's history but also fits perfectly into the RedBar community. Like the regular model, the watch is available for $2,295. At the time of writing, they are already sold out on the Zodiac website, but a few pieces can still be purchased at Windup Watch Shop. If you prefer this special RedBar version, you will need to act quickly and buy it while you still can.

In my opinion, Zodiac has introduced two excellent versions of its professional dive watches. They showcase a more serious side of the brand, celebrating the night divers of the 1980s in worthy style. As an admirer of classic night divers, it's no surprise that I really like both models. I hope that Zodiac will continue to surprise us with a great combination of more serious, bold, and vibrant watches. This makes the brand unique in the broad watch landscape, and I can't wait to see what's next.
