Jacob & Co. Fastest Tourbillon, Jaquet Droz Japanese Garden

This is the fastest tourbillon in the world. The carriage rotation speed in these watches is just 4 seconds. The dial composition is built around the figure of Chronos, the god of time. Another reference to Ancient Greece can be seen in the decoration of the case sides, reminiscent of ancient columns.

The watch was released in honor of Jacob Arabo's 60th birthday. Hence the limited edition of 60 pieces and the original design of the case back, which features a portrait of the perennial CEO of Jacob & Co. on a blue sapphire plate. Read more about this model in the review.

The design of these watches uses 25 applied elements, made mainly of carved and engraved mother-of-pearl. The dial is also made of mother-of-pearl. In the background of the dial, a traditional Japanese temple is visible, given volume by a thin layer of gray paint. In the foreground, a traditional Japanese garden is recreated.

The composition with large water lilies, luxurious koi carps swimming among reeds, and cherry blossoms under a street lamp light is stunning in its meticulous detail. In addition to mother-of-pearl, yellow gold is used. The thickness of the smallest elements in this picture does not exceed 0.1 mm. The watch is made in a single piece.

The sixth limited edition Arnold & Son in honor of the new year's symbol. The watch is presented in a polished red gold case. The highlight of the model is the 29 mm moon phase indicator window occupying the top part of the dial. The moon's diameter is 11.2 mm. Against the backdrop of a huge moon floating in a sky of black aventurine, a horse prances. The graceful animal kicks up fiery red sparks with its hooves. For greater effect, they are treated with luminescent material and glow in the dark.

The model's release is limited to a series of 8 pieces. The approximate cost of the watch is CHF 62,600.

A miniature novelty, in which everything is devoted to the radiance of noble metal. The case, dial, hands, and bracelet of the model are made of yellow gold. The dimensions of this little piece are 24.6 x 18.7 mm. The bracelet design seems to continue the smooth curves of the oval case.

Inside the oval is a quartz movement. The feature that blurs the line between a watch and a piece of jewelry is the graphic incrustation with diamonds on the case and bracelet. More than 70 stones with a total weight of 0.81 carats are used in the watch's decoration. The approximate cost of the model is €24,900.

Two new Omega Speedmaster models in an 'inverted panda' style. The watches are presented in 42 mm steel cases and Moonshine Gold alloy. The steel version is slightly thinner than the gold-cased variant (13.54 mm vs. 13.64 mm). Otherwise, the models are identical. A slightly more restrained novelty for the Year of the Fire Horse, crafted in the style of the 1960s. The watch features a vintage 38 mm cushion-shaped steel case. The model’s special character is indicated by the image of a horse's head on the chronograph's second counter, as well as the inscription 'YEAR OF THE HORSE' on the tachymetric scale.

The watch is equipped with a perforated calfskin strap. The release of the novelty is limited to a series of 288 pieces.

A new model in a neo-vintage style, which references a model from the 1920s. The watch features a 38 x 12.2 mm steel case. The dial, with a date indicator placed on the periphery, is styled like a target and covered with a domed sapphire glass in a retro style. The case back is fitted with mineral glass, under which the modified Sellita SW200 caliber with a 38-hour power reserve can be seen.

The watch is equipped with an eco-friendly deer leather strap with a quick-release mechanism. The approximate cost of the model is CHF 1,950.
