Four models combining practical steel, guilloché dials, and the in-house GP4800 caliber.

In 2025, Girard-Perregaux celebrated the 50th anniversary of the Laureato collection by releasing a limited series of Laureato Fifty models based on the new in-house GP4800 caliber. This year, the brand continues the anniversary lineup with four new models that will become part of the permanent collection. The new models are offered in 39 and 36 mm cases with several dial options available.

The new Laureato Fifty models retain the timeless design of the iconic sports line. The watches are available in steel cases, which, regardless of diameter, have a thickness of 9.8 mm and water resistance of 150 meters. The alternation of matte and polished surfaces in the new models highlights the complex combination of several geometric shapes: an octagonal bezel, a round base underneath, and a barrel-shaped middle case.

The highlight of the new models is the dial. All four models share the "Clous de Paris" guilloché as a background, minimalist hands, and applied hour markers, among which a double index at the "12 o'clock" position stands out. Here it replaces the standard GP logo, which seemed redundant since the dial already features the "Girard-Perregaux" inscription.

The most striking model in this series is the 39-mm case variant with a blue enamel dial. The combination of enamel with the classic "Clous de Paris" guilloché results in a stunning play of endlessly changing shades of blue (depending on the lighting). The use of enamel in sports watches, rather than classic ones, is a bold step that elevates the Laureato collection to a new level.

Two of the four new models received rose gold-colored dials (and cases of different sizes). In these watches, it will also be interesting to observe the play of light on the "Clous de Paris" guilloché, capturing subtle transitions between warm golden hues and a darker background as light moves across the dial.

The fourth model in the series features a 36-mm case and a silver dial. This version is distinguished by a bezel set with diamonds weighing approximately 0.55 carats. Important: models without enamel on the dial have a date indicator at the "3 o'clock" position, while the model with enamel does not have a date indicator.

As mentioned above, all models in this series are powered by the GP4800 caliber, introduced in September 2025. This latest-generation movement includes a silicon escapement, a variable inertia balance, and ceramic ball bearings for the automatic winding system. With a balance frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour, the movement provides a power reserve of about 60 hours.

Distinctive features of the movement can be seen through the sapphire case back. In particular, the rich decoration with Geneva waves, anglage, polishing, circular graining, and "sunray" pattern. Visually, the hallmark of the movement is the balance bridge made of rose gold.

The watches are offered on an integrated bracelet. The micro-adjustment mechanism included in the folding clasp allows for adding or removing up to 4 mm of length. The approximate cost of the models is CHF 20,500 for the 36-mm and 39-mm models with rose gold-colored dials; CHF 21,500 for the model with diamonds on the bezel, and CHF 21,800 for the model with a blue enamel dial.
