The words "modern" and "sporty" are hard to associate with Breguet, but aside from the aviation-inspired Type 20 model, the Marine collection is what you can find in a luxury sports watch collection inspired by the brand's legitimate and long-standing maritime connections.
Introduced in 1990 and updated over the decades, Breguet's Marine sports collection includes two gem-set models: a 42.3 mm chronograph in white or rose gold and a feminine 33.8 mm chronograph with date and day in steel.
Marine Chronograph 5529
The latest update to the Marine collection came in 2018, with the introduction of the Breguet Marine Chronograph 5527. The latest models are available in precious metal and titanium cases, made of 18-carat white or rose gold measuring 42.3 x 13.85 mm with a water resistance of 30 m and the characteristic fluted pattern present on all Breguet watch straps. The bezel of the new Marine Chronograph is set with 90 baguette-cut diamonds. Compared to other diamond cuts, the baguette cut is more masculine.
White or rose gold, hand-guilloché is used here in the center of the dark blue dial to create a dynamic wave pattern. Two chronograph counters smoothly transition into each other and surpass the small seconds counter at the 9 o'clock position in size. Eight hour markers are represented by baguette-cut diamonds in a gold setting, while the remaining gold Roman numerals XII, III, VI, and IX are applied to the chapter ring and treated with luminescent material. No changes have occurred in the new Marine Chronograph 5529, which is still equipped with the automatic flyback chronograph caliber 582 QA. The model is offered with a midnight blue leather or rubber strap, and the gold cap on the triple-folding clasp mimics the shape of a ship's wheel.

Marine Dame 9518
This Breguet Marine Dame model is the smallest in the Marine collection. Two new models, one with a silver dial adorned with sunburst effects and the other with a blue dial featuring sunburst effects, have graceful dimensions of 33.8 mm x 9.89 mm. They are crafted in 50-meter water-resistant stainless steel cases, with bezels adorned with 50 round-cut diamonds, adding brilliance to the composition.
The Marine watches with time and date indicators are equipped with eight diamond markers framed by white gold and three luminescent Roman numerals as pennants - III, IX, and XII. The watches are powered by the slim automatic caliber 591A Breguet with a 38-hour power reserve. Both models are equipped with three-link integrated stainless steel bracelets with a triple-folding clasp.
