Recently, Casio has been selling some of its most popular watches, and one of the most sought-after models is the modest yet attractive Casio G-Shock GA2100SKE-7A. It is not a limited edition, but Casio quickly sold out the first batch.
The good news is that the new G-Shock GA2100 collection is part of a series and is available in various colors. What makes this particular version, the GA2100SKE-7A, interesting is that it is part of the Transparent Pack series, which features G-Shock watches with a transparent polymer case. Collectors appreciate the GA2100 model for its octagonal case shape, reminiscent of the iconic Audemars Piguet Royal Oak. For this reason, one of the model's nicknames is "CasiOak."

With an octagonal case width of 45.4 mm (water-resistant up to 200 meters, thickness of 11.8 mm, and a lug-to-lug distance of 48.5 mm) and a tapering strap, the profile of the GA2100 indeed resembles the Royal Oak. The similarity is actually thematic, as Casio opts for a more stylish and practical solution rather than attempting to copy the Royal Oak. However, for many collectors, the Gerald Genta-style bezel design is enough to make them swoon.
Casio's engineers also equipped the G-Shock GA2100 with a relatively clean dial, which is as simple as one might expect from a modern G-Shock product with analog hands. The quartz movement from Casio uses a combination of three analog hands and a small negative LCD display to offer various functions typical of G-Shock watches. The overall relative elegance of the watch, along with the Royal Oak-style case, actually makes it a great product that will interest many. In other words, it does not resemble kids' watches at all. The GA2100 models come in black, red, gray, and green.

Mainly transparent cases for Casio watches are a relatively new model line, because until recently, I assumed it was difficult to create a durable material that would not discolor over time. For example, earlier transparent plastic watch cases mostly yellowed over time (like silicone cases from your phones). As I understand it, Casio's transparent polymer material does not suffer from this issue.

The Casio GA2100SKE-7A presents a comfortable, fashionable, and stylish look. As we can see, watches do not necessarily have to look like a popular family of Swiss luxury watches to be popular. At least, the price of these watches has not pushed people away as much as the Swiss lineup. Just pay USD 110, and showcase your uniqueness! It's no surprise why this G-Shock design has been so irresistible to many of its fans.
