Two models for football fans to follow every twist of the game.

Richard Mille has unveiled an extraordinary novelty for true football fans. These watches are priced at $1.94 million. Let's find out why they cost so much.

Let's start with the mechanism. The caliber, developed in collaboration with Audemars Piguet, took 5 years to create. In addition to the tourbillon and flyback chronograph, this manually wound mechanism supports football timer functions. The game stage can be tracked via an indicator located at the 9 o'clock position. Each time the chronograph is reset, the indicator turns from the first half to the second, then to the first and second overtimes.

The indicators in the upper and lower parts of the dial are goal counters. The watch owner can control them using buttons located at the 2 o'clock and 4 o'clock positions. At the 4 o'clock position, there is also a mode indicator showing whether the movement is in neutral, winding, or time-setting mode.

The movement is made of grade 5 titanium, equipped with a Glucydur balance with 4 adjusting screws, an Elinvar hairspring, and shock protection, allowing the watch to withstand impacts up to 5000G. The chronograph mechanism includes 2 column wheels (patented design). One is responsible for starting and stopping the chronograph, and the other for resetting and the flyback function.

The winding barrel in the mechanism has an increased rotation speed, reducing internal friction of the mainspring and increasing the power reserve. It provides 70 hours of power reserve. The power reserve indicator is located in the upper right corner of the dial.

The watch is traditionally large. The case measures 43.24 x 49.65 x 16.08 mm and is offered in two versions of 30 pieces each. The first is a familiar combination for Richard Mille fans of blue TPT quartz and TPT carbon.

The second version features a new TPT basalt in "carmine red" for the brand. This material is derived from volcanic rock, split into fibers 40 microns thick. The production feature of this material is that the fibers are laid in layers at a 45º angle to each other, creating a wood-like texture.

Both versions of the model come with rubber straps and folding clasps.
