A smart novelty that conveys the Formula 1 atmosphere through striking visuals and sound.

TAG Heuer has unveiled the first novelty of the season in partnership with Formula 1. This smartwatch boasts an impressive list of features that capture the Formula atmosphere through numerous exclusive visual and sound solutions. Let us tell you what makes the TAG Heuer Connected Calibre E5 45mm x Formula 1 model interesting.

The watch features the typical 45-mm case of the Connected line, made of grade 2 titanium. It has a sleek, sporty silhouette, angular lugs in the style of Carrera models, DLC coating with a combination of matte finish and polishing, and the signature Connected line's low, wide buttons that taper towards the lugs. The case is water-resistant up to 50 meters.

The standout visual feature is the polished black ceramic bezel with TAG Heuer and Formula 1 logos. It is divided into 7 separate segments, each representing a specific stage of a race, whether it be a practice and qualifying session or the Grand Prix race itself. However, there is no mention of sprint races on the bezel, making it unclear how to track competitions with sprints.

Another highlight of the watch is the touchscreen AMOLED display with a resolution of 326 dpi. The dial design is aptly named Race Track: time is displayed across the dial with large numbers styled like a racing track. Across the numbers, a unique seconds indicator draws a track silhouette once a minute. At the 6 o'clock mark, the current (or next) Formula 1 Grand Prix event is displayed.
A series of colored blocks on the dial's outer edge correspond to bezel segments and indicate the current session of a specific Grand Prix stage. This part of the watch was designed with the idea that each of the 24 Grand Prix weekends planned for 2026 has its own design and color palette.

The new Formula 1 app allows the owner to keep track of all the nuances of the racing season: from the current position in the championship to the schedule and race results, considering the full season calendar. All necessary information and important updates are displayed without opening the app, thanks to a series of widgets. Furthermore, to add realism to the design, TAG Heuer has developed a set of unique notification icons and sounds directly inspired by Formula 1. For example, alert sounds mimic radio signals from the pits.

In addition to all the above, the watch offers a wide range of sports, wellness, and organizational applications supported by its own TAG Heuer OS. These include apps for tracking running, cycling, swimming, workouts, hiking, and golf, as well as call management and the standard suite of smartwatch programs.

Other features of the model include a 3-day power reserve, fast charging function (one day of autonomy in just 30 minutes), sensors for monitoring heart rate, calorie counting, step counting, compass, accelerometer, gyroscope, barometer, oxygen saturation tracking, and breathing rate, sleep analysis, and heart rate variability.

The watch comes with two straps. The first is a leather strap with a rubber lining, carbon-pattern design, and bold red stitching. The second is a black textile strap with red stripes.

Starting March 3, the novelty will be available exclusively on the TAG Heuer website, and from the 5th, the watch will also be available in stores. The estimated cost of the model is CHF 2,400.
