Tudor has introduced a new chronograph in the Black Bay line. This model stands out from previous ones not only due to its dial color, reminiscent of a bumblebee, but also because of its more compact case.

Until now, all Black Bay Chrono models had a diameter of 41 mm, a thickness of 14.2 mm, and a lug-to-lug distance of 49.9 mm. While not the most compact, these watches offered a robust water resistance of 200 meters. The new model aligns with current trends and is smaller in every aspect: 39 mm in diameter, 13.1 mm in thickness, and a lug-to-lug distance of 47 mm.

Otherwise, most aspects remain the same. The case features a fixed black bezel with a tachymetric scale made from anodized aluminum. Over the dial is a domed sapphire crystal. The chronograph buttons remain screw-down. Water resistance is still 200 meters. Among minor updates, the crown has returned to a more traditional shape, and the case back is more convex than before. As a result, the case sides visually appear thinner.

The most noticeable design change is the matte yellow dial, which combined with black sub-dials, gives the watch its bumblebee color scheme. It features the classic Black Bay hand set, with the iconic snowflake hour hand. All elements on the dial are filled with white Super-LumiNova luminescent material.

Inside, there's nothing new. The model is powered by the caliber MT5813, based on the Breitling B01 caliber. This is a COSC-certified automatic chronograph with a column wheel, operating at a frequency of 4 Hz and offering a power reserve of about 70 hours. Other notable features of the movement include a silicon balance spring and a variable inertia balance. The timekeeping accuracy of assembled watches even exceeds the COSC standard, with a deviation of -2/+4 seconds per day.

The watch comes with a three-link steel bracelet equipped with a folding clasp and a T-Fit micro-adjustment system. Although not limited edition, being part of the 'Daring Watches' line, it might not be as readily available as other Tudor watches.
