A limited collection that revives historical Universal Genève models and brings them into a modern context.
The range of models from the brand Universal Genève was once incredibly diverse and multifaceted. This is evident in the new releases the company presented this week. Among the new models of the revived brand is the Signature Timepieces collection. It includes modern reinterpretations of the Disco Volante and Dioramic models, appealing to those who appreciate restrained yet original watch design.
The Disco Volante Signature model is a chronograph inspired by the Uni-Compax models of the 1930s. The watches are available in steel and rose gold, with a sizable 45 x 12.78 mm dimensions by today's standards. Such sizes leave ample room for the characteristic elements of historical design - a stepped case and a polished inner bezel.

The case is equipped with square buttons and a fluted crown recessed into the case. The steel version is complemented by a blue dial with a grainy texture, while the rose gold model features a pastel pink dial with greenish highlights on the counters. The dial design combines the updated Universal Genève logo, round embossed minute markers, and a tachymetric scale on the periphery.

Through the sapphire case back, you can see the UG-200 caliber - an automatic movement equipped with a column wheel and vertical coupling. The power reserve is sufficient for 3 days of autonomous work. The watch is offered on alligator leather straps.
The approximate cost of the model is CHF 25,500 (steel), CHF 44,100 (rose gold).
The Dioramic Signature model draws inspiration from the 1956 Monodatic watch, later renamed Dioramic. The case measures 37 x 9.15 mm. The highlight of the model is the wide fluted bezel. In the rose gold version, it frames a black lacquered dial, while the steel case model features a blue dial.

The watch functions are limited to hour and minute indications. The hour markers are denoted by elegant applied trapezoidal indices. The bezel also includes a neat round date window. The watches are offered on 18-mm alligator leather straps. Both models are equipped with the UG-110 in-house caliber. The movement, with a balance frequency of 4 Hz, is equipped with a micro-rotor, providing the watch with a 72-hour power reserve.

The approximate cost of the model is CHF 20,000 (steel) and CHF 40,425 (rose gold).
