Custom Rolex for Andre Agassi.
Artisans De Genève customized a watch for famous tennis player Andre Agassi. The legendary athlete's primary requirement was not to feel the watch on his wrist. The Rolex Daytona Ref. 116519 model was used as the base.
The watch features a 40mm titanium case, crafted on a 1950s machine. Both the case and the titanium bezel are coated with Tytalit®, which offers high resistance to wear and corrosion, while keeping the weight at just 78 grams.
The dial made of metallized sapphire reveals a manually skeletonized movement with a tungsten rotor, highlighted by an orange-red letter 'A'.
The same color lacquer covers the sandblasted central chronograph hand. The specific pink hue of the chronograph counters is called Hot Lava®. The watch's color palette is a nod to Andre Agassi's sneakers.
The watch is equipped with an original rubber strap. The cost of customization services was CHF 56,520.
