A tribute to the esteemed Chopard ambassador Jacky Ickx.

Chopard has introduced a new watch that pays homage to the legendary racer and brand ambassador Jacky Ickx. The dial features a miniature painting technique reproducing the famous photograph by Rainer Schlegelmilch. The image, simply titled Ferrari 312 PB - 1972, was taken in 1972 during the 24 Hours of Spa race in Belgium.

The foreground of the dial composition features the legendary Ferrari 312 PB of Jacky Ickx and the driver's helmet. The blurred background captures spectators in the grandstands at high speed.

The watch case measures 40 x 10.30 mm and is made from ethical 18K white gold with alternating satin and polished finishes. The sapphire crystal case back showcases an engraving of Jacky Ickx's autograph and the inscription "1000 km de Spa 1972." A miniature power reserve indicator is also located here. Water resistance is 50 meters.

The automotive world references continue in the model's design with a strap made from perforated calfskin, featuring an ethical white gold buckle. The perforation on the strap is reminiscent of racing gloves and vintage racing car steering wheel covers, providing breathability and comfort at high speeds.

Under the dial operates the L.U.C 98.06L caliber, equipped with manual winding. This movement with jumping hours was first introduced in 2021. Its main feature is the 4-barrel system, providing an 8-day power reserve while maintaining an elegant thickness of 4.85 mm. The paired barrel construction ensures constant torque throughout the power reserve, crucial for the instantaneous jumping hour switch.

The watch fully meets the stringent criteria of the Geneva Seal. The model is made in a single piece.
