Every time we visit Geneva, it's a pleasure to drop by the ArtyA boutique.
On any given day, a music star might pop in, or as in one of our visits, a custom motorcycle stole the spotlight. However, at the end of last year, it was just us from WatchTested who spent an hour there to get acquainted with the brand's latest offerings. ArtyA is known for its drive to push boundaries in case materials and overall design. The Luminity Wavy models embody these traits while being in a wearable size.
Features of the ArtyA Brand
ArtyA is not your typical watch brand. While movements play an important role, the focus is on materials and design. With guitar head-shaped cases and multi-colored sapphire inserts, you never know what to expect from this small Swiss manufacturer. Yet, at the end of last year, we encountered a relatively unexpected choice - a collection that, I dare say, turned out to be universal. Luminity Wavy are watches I can wear and don't mind doing so.
ArtyA Luminity Wavy: Design and Dimensions
It's important to note right away: the new ArtyA watches have a diameter of 35 mm and a thickness of 13.45 mm. Yes, in 2026, an entire collection of avant-garde models with a diameter that would have been laughed at a few years ago is being released. But here they are, and honestly, I like it! The Wavy case has a massive, organic shape, making the smaller dimensions not feel so small. But that's not all. The watches are available in sapphire, titanium, and DLC-coated titanium cases. The dials are presented in transparent sapphire, amazonite, and mother of pearl.

The straps are also in rock-n-roll style. There are options in suede and straps patterned to resemble nubuck. In any case, the buckle is a stylish pin made from material matching the case. Each model is limited to 99 pieces.

Titanium Grade 5: Texture and Color Combination
The Luminity Wavy model made of Titanium Grade 5 has a matte, sandblasted surface on the top of the case. The sides are polished, creating a contrast. During our visit, two such models were presented. The transparent sapphire dial looked clean and modern, while the amazonite version emitted a completely different vibe. Regardless of the choice, the watches are adorned with an applied circular logo and baton indices. The central hands and small seconds hand are daphne-shaped, with a matte surface and polished bevels.

Amazonite - a type of feldspar with a bluish-green hue - pairs excellently with the medium-gray color of titanium. The choice of a fully sapphire dial is also justified, but note the stone: the marble pattern contrasts beautifully with the smooth case shape. Regardless of the variant, the price of these watches is €16,000.

DLC-Coated Titanium: Dark and Expressive Look
If sandblasted titanium is a modern and semi-matte option, then the black DLC-coated case is its dark counterpart. This version is also available with sapphire, amazonite, or mother of pearl dials. We had the chance to examine the sapphire model in detail - likely the most masculine option in the collection. Meanwhile, the black color visually reduces the size of the watch, making it an optimal choice for those with slender wrists. The price is €19,200, which is mid-range in the collection.

Sapphire Case: Exotic and Unique
Sapphire cases in the high-end watch segment are not new, and while they've always intrigued me from a technological standpoint, I never truly connected with them. That changed with the Luminity Wavy. The reason was again the case size. When I tried the watch on, I still had a tan, and I noted that they looked great on the skin. The curved case shape perfectly hugs the wrist. Are these watches for everyday wear? I'm not sure, but if you don't live permanently in Los Angeles!

I was a bit worried that sapphire might remind me of transparent Swatch plastic, but the watches turned out to be heavier and sturdier to the touch. The most unexpected thing was the warmth of the material. Sapphire conducts heat 40 times better than stainless steel. Forget California, in the Swiss Alps this would be interesting! In any case, wearing them was pleasant, and if you're looking for something truly unusual, it's worth paying attention. The price is €37,500 for the full sapphire dial and €37,900 for the versions with amazonite or mother of pearl, placing them in the exclusive segment.

Micro-Rotor Movement AMR-01
The 35 mm diameter of the Luminity Wavy model was made possible by the miniature mechanism inside the case. The automatic AMR-01 caliber with micro-rotor has a diameter of 25.6 mm and a thickness of only 3.6 mm. It is the brand's own development with impressive characteristics: a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour and a power reserve of 82 hours.

Why You Should Consider the Luminity Wavy 35 mm
ArtyA always creates watches that spark conversations. From dials to case materials - their products are easily recognizable. Nevertheless, the Luminity Wavy models with a diameter of 35 mm are the most accessible in the brand's history. While none of the versions are labeled as budget-friendly, the titanium watches are more attractively priced than previous releases. The cases sit comfortably on the wrist and feel like 37-38 mm models. The movements with their finishing and technical features deserve attention. Overall, if you're in Geneva or a city with an official ArtyA dealer, I recommend taking a closer look at these models.
