The high horology manufacturer Breguet once again introduces a 37mm women's model, the Tradition, in a jewelry style. Sparkling with the light of diamonds and the warm glow of rubies and pink sapphires, the exquisite Breguet Tradition 7035 joins the existing women's Tradition 7038 models. Unlike most elite women's watches adorned with gemstones, the Tradition model displays its mechanism on the dial. Combined with the stunning gem setting, the Tradition 7035 proves that women can enjoy the best of both worlds.
HISTORY
The Tradition model debuted in 2005, inspired by the symmetrical architecture of the subscription watches released by Abraham-Louis Breguet. Most of the mechanical mechanism was fully displayed on the dial, fulfilling the dream of many watch enthusiasts: a modern skeletonized mechanism with Breguet's historical inventions on display. In 2015, a retrograde seconds hand and automatic winding were added (ref. 7097), and in 2016, the first women's wristwatch in the Tradition collection was released - ref. 7038. Housed in a 37mm rose gold case with a bezel set with diamonds, matte bridges, and floral engraving on the central barrel, the 7038 model was captivatingly beautiful and attracted the attention of many women who appreciate the spectacle of a skeletonized mechanism.
BREGUET TRADITION 7035
The 37mm polished rose gold case features classic Breguet elements such as the delicate fluting on the case band and straight welded lugs with screw bars. Like other women's editions, the 7035 model is adorned with a bright red ruby on the crown and 68 round-cut diamonds on the bezel. Furthermore, the symmetrical arrangement of the mechanics on the dial is identical to other Breguet Tradition watches with a retrograde seconds hand and automatic winding.
A sparkling setting of 74 round-cut diamonds illuminates the sub-dial for hours and minutes at the 12 o'clock position with a chapter ring of natural white mother-of-pearl, Breguet Arabic numerals, and fine Breguet hands with open tips in 18-carat rose gold. As with all Breguet watches, an individual number is engraved on the arc-shaped plaque located from 10 to 2 o'clock beneath the chapter ring.
The retrograde seconds indicator at the 10 o'clock position is decorated with a gradient color scheme formed by two rubies and gradually fading in intensity through seven pink sapphires. Positioned around the central barrel with an engraved rosette, two symmetrical bridges, designed by Breguet for his subscription watches, hold the balance and third wheel in place. At the 4 o'clock position, you can see the original 'pare-chute' shock protection system developed by Abraham-Louis Breguet and attached to the balance cock. The other bridges in the lower half of the mechanism are also adorned with fine engraving, echoing the rosette pattern on the barrel.
However, what elevates this model 7035 to the rank of high jewelry art is the abundance of snowflake-shaped diamonds on the dial, plate, and bridges made of 18-carat gold. A total of 190 round-cut diamonds of varying sizes are set into the gold to recall the irregular pattern of snowflakes in nature - a technique commonly used in jewelry making.
AUTOMATIC CALIBER 505J
The sapphire crystal case back reveals the automatic Breguet caliber 505J with a large gold rotor adorned with a rosette pattern, located on the side of the dial. The mechanism, equipped with a lever escapement with silicon pallets and a Breguet balance spring, also made of silicon, operates at a frequency of 21,600 vph/3 Hz and provides a 50-hour power reserve.
