In the world of exclusive watches, it is said that patience is a virtue, and in the case of custom models, this statement is almost indisputable.
If you need a watch now, major brands offer a wide range from their shelves and showcases. However, if you are looking for something more specialized, you will have to wait, and if you want a custom color, the wait will increase. In August 2023, we were introduced to the Oliver Gallaugher Deep Space model - a unique watch with incredible attention to detail. Now, having completed its full cycle, Deep Space returns in a new blue shade.
Case: Tradition and Innovation Combined
At first glance, the Deep Space case looks traditional: a clean round profile and thin, smoothly curved lugs close to the classic style. However, the uniqueness of the model is revealed in the finish - a combination of carefully polished and sandblasted surfaces instead of the usual brushing. This is not a tool or sports watch trying to look elegant - they simply stand out. The case is made of 904L stainless steel, providing tactile pleasure when worn.

The case dimensions are also well thought out: a diameter of 38 mm and a thickness of 8.8 mm create a compact and comfortable model, which aligns with modern trends, unlike the previous, larger version.
The new model features a thin bezel that allows for an expanded view of the dial. Unlike the matte sandblasted finish of the previous version, the bezel is now polished, giving the watch a more premium look. Meanwhile, functionality has not been compromised: sapphire glass with a five-layer anti-reflective coating and water resistance up to 50 meters ensure reliability. Each case is individually numbered, with only 35 pieces released.

Oliver Gallaugher was inspired by his relatives - engineers and decorative artists, which is reflected in the dial details. The main focus is a linear brushed finish with blue lacquer, which is an original alternative to the usual radial "sunburst" pattern.

The engraved stars with rhodium plating add a special charm, shimmering as the angle of lighting changes. The minute markings are applied on the inner side of the sapphire glass and filled with luminous material Grade X1 Super-LumiNova, ensuring excellent readability in the dark.
The hands are made of 3D luminous ceramic with bright lume on the tips. The hand cases are made of 904L steel, subjected to brushing and polishing. According to Oliver, this is the first time such technology has been used in watchmaking (though there is no confirmation of this). The dial is minimalist, without unnecessary elements, except for the white O.G. logo at the "12 o'clock" position.
Movement: Swiss Quality and Aesthetics

If the watch's front impresses, the back cover opens up a completely new story. Thanks to flat sapphire glass with a transparent back cover, the movement can be examined in detail.

The new model is equipped with the Swiss LTM5000-G caliber from Le Temps Manufacturer from Val-de-Travers, replacing the German movement of the previous version. This is a beautifully hand-decorated manual winding movement with a semi-skeletonized design, allowing more internal details to be seen. The bridges are decorated with Geneva stripes, and the bevels are highly polished, giving the movement an exquisite appearance.
The absence of a seconds hand is compensated by the traditional frequency of 4 Hz (instead of 2 Hz in its predecessor), which improves accuracy. The power reserve has been increased to 60 hours, which is a significant improvement. Attention to detail in the movement's finish is also inspired by Gallaugher's family traditions.
Strap: Quality and Comfort in Details

Attention to detail is also evident in the choice of straps. Oliver Gallaugher selected handmade straps from the brand Handdn for the Deep Space. Two options are offered: tapering straps made of Alcantara calf leather in blue and light gray colors with matching stitching.

Each strap is equipped with a classic 904L steel buckle with a combination of polished and matte finishes, echoing the style of the case. Quick strap changes are ensured by spring bars with a quick-release system. The lug width is 20 mm, offering wide possibilities for customization.
