Two new models with lacquered dials and ceramic bezels.
Omega has unveiled two new Speedmaster Moonwatch models in the popular 'reverse panda' design. The models, available in stainless steel and Moonshine Gold alloy cases, feature two distinctive elements - a two-layer dial and a ceramic bezel.
The top layer of the dial is a glossy polished black plate with a lacquered finish. The bottom layer is also glossy but features a contrasting white lacquered finish. The markers on each layer are applied in contrasting colors, with the minute scale and text in white, and the chronograph sub-dial markers in black.
The hands and applied hour markers on the dial are made from the same metal as the case of the specific model. Sapphire crystals are fitted on both sides of the case. Instead of the usual aluminum insert, the bezel features black ceramic. The tachymetric scale is applied in white enamel.
Inside is the time-tested caliber 3861 with manual winding. This cam-driven movement features the traditional co-axial escapement and free-sprung balance, is METAS certified, and offers a 50-hour power reserve.
The watches are fitted with bracelets matching the case, equipped with a two-position adjustment system.
The Omega Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch Black & White models are now available in Omega's standard catalog. The approximate price is $10,400 for the steel model and $49,300 for the Moonshine Gold version.
