A luxurious novelty with the world's fastest tourbillon. The carriage rotation speed in these watches is just 4 seconds.

Jacob & Co. has unveiled an impressive watch with a tourbillon. The impressive feature is the carriage rotation speed - 1 rotation in just 4 seconds. This is a world record, and it is a whole second less than the previous record holder - the Franck Muller Thunderbolt model.
Strictly speaking, this is not entirely new. In June 2025, Jacob Arabo showcased these watches on his Instagram page, presenting them as a new release for his 60th birthday. He specified that he worked on them for 4 years. The watch is housed in an 18-carat rose gold case with a diameter of 44.5 mm. The case is luxuriously finished with a reference to the Ionic columns of ancient temples. This reference is easy to discern since the case thickness is 18.25 mm.

The dial design clearly emphasizes the speed of the tourbillon's rotation. The tourbillon carriage is held by a powerful figure of the ancient Greek god Chronos, with detailed muscle relief, luxurious hair, and beard. The 37 mm diameter figure is meticulously polished and patinated. Chronos sits against an aventurine background, with hour and minute hands in the Dauphine style fixed at his chest. The case is water-resistant up to 30 meters.

It's easy to notice that the crown is located on the left side of the case, not the right. The tourbillon has moved to the right. This was done intentionally - so the rapid rotations of the carriage are clearly visible from under the shirt cuff. However, considering the thickness of the case, this 'ancient temple' on the wrist won't hide under any cuff.

To allow the tourbillon to perform its pirouettes at record speed (15 times faster than usual), the model's mechanism is equipped with 4 paired winding barrels. The 'filling' here is the JCAM60 caliber, developed from scratch specifically for this record. This is a manually wound mechanism, assembled from 283 parts. With a balance frequency of 3 Hz, it has a 60-hour power reserve.
The tourbillon carriage is made of titanium and weighs only 0.27 grams. The variable inertia balance is equipped with 8 adjustment weights and a Breguet overcoil. The escapement system uses a constant force mechanism that transfers energy to the balance in measured portions, operating at the same frequency as the balance itself.

The reverse side of the case is adorned with a portrait of Jacob Arabo with his autograph. For understandable reasons, the model's release is limited to 60 pieces. It is offered with a classic alligator leather strap, fitted with a folding clasp made of rose gold.
The approximate cost of the watch is $320,000.
