A new release in honor of the 90th anniversary of the Eilean sailing yacht.

Panerai has announced the return of the Eilean sailing yacht to yachting, originally built in 1936 by the Scottish shipyard Fife of Fairlie. In honor of this event and the yacht's 90th anniversary, Panerai has released the new Radiomir Bronzo PAM00760 model.

In 2006, the then head of Panerai, Angelo Bonati, purchased the partially destroyed Eilean yacht. He found it in Antigua and, realizing it was as old as the Radiomir watches, decided to buy it. The yacht was preserved and shipped on a cargo ship to Italy. Bonati found the 1936 drawings and began restoration work, focusing on preserving as many original parts as possible.

After 3 years of reconstruction at the Cantiere Francesco Del Carlo shipyard in Viareggio, Eilean was launched. The yacht's return took place on May 15 this year. The modern chapter in the vessel's history will continue with a series of regattas on the French Riviera, in Italy, and Spain. The season will end in September at the Royal Regattas in Cannes.

As the model name suggests, the Radiomir Bronzo PAM00760 features a bronze case. This is a symbolic nod to the time when corrosion-resistant bronze was actively used instead of steel in shipbuilding. In this instance, Panerai's proprietary bronze alloy made of copper and tin is used, which will develop a noble patina over time.

The watch is equipped with a green sandwich dial. The dial features polished steel hands with beige Super-LumiNova luminescent coating. On the front, the watch has an acrylic crystal, a reference to early Panerai diver models made for the Italian Navy.

The case measures 47 mm in diameter and offers water resistance of 100 meters. The titanium back cover is equipped with a sapphire insert. Through it, one can view the watch's movement - the in-house caliber P.3000, which features manual winding and a 72-hour power reserve.

The watch is offered with a calfskin leather strap. The estimated cost of the model is €19,500.
