At London Watch Week 2026, Pragma unveiled two key events marking the next phase in the development of this young independent brand.

Pragma is known for exceeding the requirements for the 'Swiss Made' certificate, producing watches 100% in Switzerland using 82.7% recycled materials. The P1 Perseverance model is a certified chronometer created with a focus on transparency in material selection and manufacturing. The slim case, measuring 39 × 10.4 mm, is made from 100% recycled solar steel, produced in two solar furnaces at Panatere's factory in La Chaux-de-Fonds. This steel alloy is used for cases and clasps, developed in collaboration with Voutilainen & Cattin. All watch components are entirely Swiss in origin, as is the design. Features of Stone Dial Editions 2026

The Stone Dial Editions 2026 series includes a limited run of 18 watches with natural stone dials - obsidian, sodalite, and jade. The stones are not just decorative inlays but form the dial itself. Each dial is mounted on a brass base and has indices carved directly into the stone surface. White minute markers are applied for readability. For contrast, two rotating aluminum counters - the date at '12 o'clock' and small seconds at '6 o'clock' - are coated with 3N gold using atomic deposition.

Obsidian - The Stone of Truth

The first in the series is the P1 Perseverance Silver Obsidian Dial. Five steel versions are available now. The 3N gold version will appear later this year, as will models with sodalite and jade dials. The staggered release allows each stone to be showcased without competition.

Obsidian is a natural volcanic glass formed during the rapid cooling of lava with minimal crystal growth. Technical Solution

Beneath the volcanic dial beats the Pragma 1031-1 caliber, installed in all P1 versions. This automatic chronometer was developed in collaboration with Chronode SA and certified to ISO 3159 standards. The modern mechanism consists of 278 parts, including the base, bridges, and structural elements made from fully recycled Grade 5 titanium. The mechanism's architecture reflects the vision of one of Pragma's founders, watchmaker Christopher Wegener, who trained at Rolex and worked for eight years with F.P. Journe on the Chronomètre Souverain, Octa, and Chronomètre à Résonance mechanisms. Wegener later participated in Laurent Ferrier projects before transitioning to complex high-complication watches.
